Icon Building Group was founded in 2008 by Charlie and Jenny Murphy. They started in Vernon Hills with a small team, a longer-than-necessary list of trade partners they wanted to work with the right way, and one belief: that the family across the table deserved the same answer we'd want if our family were sitting in their chair.
Eighteen years and two thousand projects later, that belief hasn't moved. The team has grown. The communities we serve have multiplied. The standard hasn't.
Today, the second generation of the Murphy family — led by Jeremy Murphy as Director of Business Development — is helping carry the firm into its next chapter. The work is the same. The people are the same. The promise is the same.
